Welcome to the
Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network - Metro St. Louis
web site.

Our web page and e-mail address are changing. Our mailing address has already changed (Click on "Contact Us" above). This page is kept for general information only. For more specific information, please use the e-mail address to the left. The new one will be posted soon. Thank you for your patience, and Happy New Year!

GLSEN - Metro St. Louis meets every third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM, from September through May (except during December, when we have our holiday party).

We have lots of things that need doing, and we need your help in getting them done! Whether you prefer behind-the-scenes work or being out on the front lines, we have a job for you. Or, if you just prefer to attend meetings and get to know us, and let us get to know you, that is fine, too!

Remember, you do not have to be an educator or in school to be a part of GLSEN; you can be straight (thus the "S" in the name!); you can be very active, just show up at meetings, or support us financially. We are open to anyone who has an interest in making the schools safer and more respectful for ALL.

There are also other opportunities for participation in monthly meetings and activities -- bringing refreshments, providing transportation, and just attending and contributing ideas are also important. We welcome your participation at whatever level is comfortable for you.

News clippers wanted! If you see any article regarding GLSEN or related to our mission in any publication, please clip or copy and bring to a meeting. We are starting to archive these articles. Please also feel free to bring any other resources or items of interest you find so that others may share the knowledge (examples: curricular ideas, publications, and so on.)
